MIDDLEBURY — Middlebury police cited Victoria Pendleton, 20, of Middlebury for second-degree aggravated domestic assault and unlawful mischief, following an incident off Route 7 South in East Middlebury on May 17. Police said Pendleton was lodged at the Marble Valley Correctional Center.

In other action last week, Middlebury police:

•  Responded to a trespassing complaint at a Case Street property on May 13.

•  Received a report that someone had stolen food from outside a Court Street apartment on May 13.

•  Received a report that an unspecified amount of cash had been stolen from an unspecified location on Middlebury College campus on May 14.

•  Cited Edward Wimett-Lafayette, 19, of Bristol for driving under the influence, following a traffic stop on Route 7 North on May 14. Police also issued a (minor) passenger in the vehicle a civil violation for possession of alcohol, third offense.

•  Launched an investigation into an alleged assault/stalking complaint reported in the Washington Street area on May 15.

•  On May 15 cited Bradley Marsden, 38, of Middlebury for providing false information to a police officer, stemming from an incident on Rogers Road back on April 16.

•  Returned a runaway juvenile home on May 15.

•  Received a report that someone had entered and messed up the interior of the Recreation Department warming hut off Mary Hogan Drive on May 15.

•  Were informed of the theft of several batteries from a Delancey Lane residence on May 15.

•  Received a report that a vehicle had been keyed while parked at McDonald’s Restaurant on May 15.

•  Investigated a report of a person being harassed at the solid waste transfer station off Route 7 South on May 15.

•  Quieted a loud party at a Seymour Street Extension home on May 16.

•  Received a report on May 16 about an alleged assault at a local farm. The matter is under investigation.

•  Ticketed a minor in possession of tobacco in the Seymour Street area on May 16.

•  Took an unruly local juvenile to the Counseling Service of Addison County (CSAC) offices on May 16.

•  Assisted Vermont State Police at the scene of an accident in Cornwall on May 16.

•  Notified the Vermont Department of Children and Families about a juvenile who had allegedly set, and extinguished, three small fires on Congregational Church of Middlebury property on May 17.

•  Served a no-trespass notice on May 17 on a person who was not wanted at a South Pleasant Street residence.

•  Served an abuse prevention order on a North Pleasant Street resident on May 17.

•  Were informed of the theft of a bike from Mary Hogan Elementary School on May 17.

•  Investigated a report of a drunken man walking in and out of traffic on Main Street on May 17.

•  Responded to a report of a student in possession of marijuana at Middlebury Union Middle School on May 17. The matter is under investigation.

•  Were informed of a gas drive-off from the Middlebury Short Stop on May 18.

•  Responded to a reported boundary dispute between some East Main Street neighbors on May 19.

•  Asked CSAC officials to check in on a Cross Street resident who had made a false crime report on May 19.

•  Responded to a noise complaint at a South Pleasant Street residence on May 19.

•  Warned a parent whose child had allegedly been seen hanging out of the upstairs window of a Creek Road residence on May 19.

•  Investigated a trespassing complaint at a Cobble Road residence on May 19. Police were told an unwanted guest had attempted to take a car from the residence.

•  Quieted a group of loud people in the Shannon Street neighborhood on May 19.

•  Served court diversion paperwork on a drunken youth who was seen staggering along College Street on May 19. Police said Middlebury College Public Safety took custody of the youth.

•  Responded to a noise complaint outside of the Middlebury Inn on May 19. Police said members of a post-wedding gathering agreed to move indoors.

•  Served court diversion paperwork on a youth who threw a beer can down the middle of College Street on May 19. Police said the youth was younger than 21 and was also warned for violating the town’s open container and littering ordinances.
