I AM A pygmy goat who was born this spring in Perkinsville. I’m a wether (meaning, I’m fixed) who moved to Middlebury recently. I’m living on the Raymonds’ little farm where I get to wander the property with their older goat, Lucy, who was feeling lonely after her two goat companions had died. Lucy is teaching me all the tricks of living here, like how to get into the chicken feed and which flowers and shrubs taste the best.
I’m still pretty young and I have lots of energy, so I’m keeping Lucy busy, playing, jumping and running around the yard. If I lose sight of her I stand on the front porch and bleat at the screen door until a human comes out and helps me find her.
There used to be a very mean tom turkey on the loose around here, but he went into the freezer just before I arrived. From what everyone’s saying, I’m a whole lot cuter and more fun to have around than he was.
