MIDDLEBURY — Middlebury police cited Thomas Husk, 54, of Middlebury, for violating his conditions of release (consuming alcohol) in the North Pleasant Street area on Oct. 14. Police said Husk had reportedly been acting “strange,” contacting people on the street.

In other action last week, Middlebury police:

•  Responded to a neighbor dispute (over loud music) in the Washington Street Extension area on Oct. 14.

•  Investigated a loitering complaint in the Bakery Lane area on Oct. 14.

•  Served a no-trespass order on a person who was not wanted on Middlebury Union High School grounds on Oct. 14.

•  Investigated a report of someone driving with a suspended license in the Washington Street area on Oct. 14.

•  Cited Zacharia Kohler, 31, of Webster, N.Y., for driving with a suspended license, on Rogers Road on Oct. 15.

•  Assisted the Counseling Service of Addison County in calming a young client on Oct. 15.

•  Received a complaint about an MUHS student allegedly making obscene noises at another person on Oct. 16.

•  Responded to a reported domestic dispute at an Airport Road residence on Oct. 16.

•  Were informed of the theft of a bicycle from Middlebury College campus on Oct. 17.

•  Investigated a report of a person with a possible mental condition being missing from the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel on Route 7 on Oct. 17. Police said the person was found safe and sound.

•  Assisted MUHS staff with an out-of-control student on Oct. 17.

•  Investigated a report of a verbal argument at a Seminary Street apartment on Oct. 18.

•  Were informed of a gas drive-off from the Champlain Farms station on Court Street on Oct. 18.

• Received a report on Oct. 18 about an MUHS student having images of marijuana posted on Instagram, a social media website. Police said the matter was resolved within the school.

•  Ticketed a juvenile for being a minor in possession of tobacco on MUHS grounds on Oct. 18.

•  Removed, at the request of McDonald’s Restaurant, a drunken man, on Oct. 18. Police said they took the man to a detox facility in Rutland.

•  Responded to a two-vehicle accident, with no injuries, at the intersection of Court and Cross streets on Oct. 19. Police said both vehicles had to be towed away from the scene.

•  Were informed of the theft of a wallet from a women while she was playing a video game at Whirlie’s World on Exchange Street on Oct. 19.

•  Responded to a family dispute at the Lodge at Otter Creek on Oct. 19.

•  Were informed that someone had vandalized some plants and pots in the Main Street area on Oct. 19.

•  Responded to a noise complaint at a Washington Street Extension residence on Oct. 19.

•  Responded to a tip of alleged drug activity in the Valley View Road area on Oct. 20. Police found no such activity taking place.

•  Took into protective custody a very drunk man who had been riding his bike in a wobbly fashion on Court Street on Oct. 20. Police said they released the man to a sober family member.
