ADDISON COUNTY — This past Saturday, April 22, at around 5:30 p.m. Vermont State Police stopped a Subaru Forester driven by Timothy Coleman, 63, of Ferrisburgh on Greenbush Road in Charlotte.

While speaking with Coleman, troopers detected signs of impairment.

Coleman provided a preliminary breath sample that showed his blood alcohol content was 0.139 percent; the legal limit for driving is 0.08. Troopers arrested Coleman, transported him to the Williston state police barracks and cited him for driving under the influence, second offense.

Just a few hours later, state police cited another Addison County man for a DUI violation that was not his first.

At 9 p.m. on the 22nd, state police were notified by Middlebury police of a vehicle that failed to stop when signaled to. Troopers later located the vehicle on Old Jerusalem Road in Leicester. When state police attempted to stop the vehicle, it was driven into a nearby field and became stuck.

Troopers identified the driver as Brandon Yandow, 20, of Middlebury. While speaking with Yandow, troopers again detected a moderate odor of intoxicants and observed several signs of impairment. They screened Yandow for DUI. Yandow provided a breath sample that showed a blood alcohol content of 0.179 percent.

State police arrested Yandow, took him to the New Haven barracks, and cited him for driving under the influence, third offense; driving with a criminally suspended license, and reckless endangerment. They then took him to the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility and lodged him for lack of $25,000 bail.

In other recent activity involving Addison County residents, Vermont State Police:

•  On April 18 at approximately 12:30 p.m. responded to a report of a family disturbance on Shellhouse Mountain Road in Ferrisburgh. Police report their investigation showed that Susan Myers, 52, of Williston had driven to the residence, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, and that a household member was preventing her from leaving. A preliminary breath sample showed that Myers’ blood alcohol content was 0.154 — nearly twice the legal limit for driving. Troopers took Myers into custody and cited her for DUI, second offense.

•  On April 19 at 2:25 p.m. in East Montpelier stopped a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Christopher Hook of Granville for a traffic violation. Police cited Hook for driving with a criminally suspended license.

•  On April 20 at just past midnight responded to a report of domestic disturbance at a Salisbury home. State police said they learned that Bryan Fox, 31, of Salisbury had threatened serious bodily injury with a weapon to a household member. So troopers took Fox into custody, cited him for aggravated domestic assault and lodged him at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility.

•  On April 21 at approximately 7:45 a.m. stopped a vehicle driven by Leonard E. Kenyon, 32, of Huntington on Main Road in Huntington. The Addison County-based trooper cited Kenyon for driving with a criminally suspended license.

•  On April 22 at 4:55 p.m. received a complaint regarding a citizen dispute in Rutland Town. Police cited Alara L. Bourgeois, 23, of Bristol with driving with a suspended license.

•  On April 24 at approximately 2:40 p.m. stopped a blue Kia Soul on Route 7 in New Haven for a moving violation. Police ended up citing Lauren Thompson, 26, of Leicester for driving with a criminally suspended license.
