MIDDLEBURY — Middlebury police interviewed a local resident on Oct. 29 whose personal information had been mined without her permission.

Police said the woman reported giving someone access to her computer by phone, which had given the caller access to all of her banking and credit information.

Police continue to investigate the matter.

In other action last week, Middlebury police:

•  Received a report about a person violating the conditions of their release at a Washington Street residence on Oct. 23. Police said they have referred the complaint to the Addison County State’s Attorney’s office.

•  Responded to a reported domestic dispute at a Route 7 North home on Oct. 23. Police said they couldn’t find anyone at the address.

•  Investigated a reported dispute between some Washington Street neighbors on Oct. 23.

•  Continued their investigation on Oct. 24 into alleged online threats and harassment directed at a member of the Middlebury College community.

•  Responded to a noise complaint on Oct. 25 at a Weybridge Street home occupied by Middlebury College students.

•  Cited Andrea Smith, 33, of Rochester for retail theft, following an alleged incident at Hannaford Supermarket on Oct. 25.

•  Responded to a motor vehicle accident on Court Street Extension on Oct. 25 that resulted in one person sustaining minor injuries.

•  Investigated the untimely death of James Foti, 66, of Rutland at Porter Hospital on Oct. 26. Police said Foti died after hiking on the Oak Ridge Trail with some friends. They said his death was a result of natural causes.

•  Responded to a report of someone driving erratically on Case Street on Oct. 26. Police said the driver was tired and not under the influence. Police helped the man get to his destination.

•  Cited Brian Renaud, 42, of Middlebury for petit larceny, following an alleged theft at r.k. Miles on Exchange Street on Oct. 26.

•  Investigated a truancy complaint filed by Mary Hogan Elementary School officials on Oct. 26.

•  Responded to reports of some people yelling in the Shannon Street area on Oct. 27.

•  Investigated the reported theft of some gasoline from a Route 7 South business on Oct. 27.

•  Were contacted by a local woman who believed she had seen a drug transaction between two people in the Bakery Lane area on Oct. 27. Police found the two people and determined neither had any drugs.

•  Responded to a noise complaint at a Weybridge Street residence on Oct. 27.

•  Responded to separate noise complaints on Weybridge and Seymour streets on Oct. 28.

•  Received a complaint about a loud Middlebury College-related party at a South Main Street residence on Oct. 28. Police said the hosts agreed to end the party.

•  Responded to a report of a child custody dispute on Porter Hospital campus on Oct. 29.

•  Received a report on Oct. 29 about an alleged sexual assault. Police determined the alleged offense had occurred outside of town.

•  Responded to a theft complaint in the Merchants Row area on Oct. 29.

•  Warned two men about walking along College Street with an open container of alcohol on Oct. 29.

•  Looked for two local children who had left their bus stop in the Jayne Court area on Oct. 30. Police said the children had returned home due to confusion caused by a weather-related school delay.

•  Helped Middlebury firefighters and public works officials in locating trees that had been toppled by a heavy windstorm on Oct. 30.
