BRISTOL — Bristol police on Dec. 28 participated in an investigation as part of the Vermont Internet Crimes Against Children Task-Force. Police offered no other details on the case.

In other action during the last week of December, Bristol police:

•  Conducted numerous foot patrols on Mount Abraham Union High School campus, Mountain Street and Main Street, without incident.

•  Ticketed the owner of a parked vehicle that had been impeding the progress of snowplowing in the village on Dec. 25. Police were able to contact the owners of two other vehicles that were also blocking snowplows.

•  Responded to a complaint at the Maplefields store on West Street on Dec. 26. Police said a customer was unable to fully use the balance of a gift card for gas, and believed the store had stopped the transaction. But police determined the card provider had placed a temporary hold on its use.

•  Helped Vermont State Police with an injured person on Route 116 on Dec. 26.

•  Completed security checks at Mount Abraham Union High School on Dec. 26 and 27.

•  Issued a speeding ticket to a driver in downtown Bristol on Dec. 27.

•  Received a wallet that a customer had dropped in the parking lot of a local store on Dec. 27. Police are trying to find the owner of the wallet.

•  Served a no-trespass notice on two people in the village on Dec. 27.

•  Ticketed two drivers for speeding in the downtown on Dec. 28  after having received complaints from local residents.

•  Conducted a welfare check on a local resident on Dec. 28, and found that person to be OK.

•  Helped the Bristol Rescue Squad on Dec. 29 at the home of a local person who needed medical attention.

•  Assisted the Addison County Unit for Special Investigations with a case on Dec. 29.

•  Helped Bristol Rescue respond to a local call on Dec. 30.

•  Initiated a criminal investigation into an allegation of a local person violating a relief from abuse order on Dec. 30.

•  Helped a person who had locked their keys in their vehicle on Dec. 31.

•  Received a debit card that someone had lost while in the village on Dec. 31.

•  Conducted foot patrols during a portion of Bristol’s “Best Night” New Year’s Eve celebration on Dec. 31.
