Middlebury man allegedly wields knife at Ferrirburgh event

<p> A Middlebury man was lodged on $100,000 bail after being cited for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, in connection with a Saturday, May 14 incident in Ferrisburgh during which he allegedly ran into a crowd of people while brandishing a knife.</p><p> Landon Urban, 30, is scheduled to answer to the charges on Monday, May 16, in Addison Superior Court, criminal division.</p><p> Vermont State Police said they were called to the scene off Plank Road in Ferriburgh to deal with a report of a drunken man who had allegedly been brandishing a knife at a public event. A witness told police the man, later identified as Urban, had fled the scene in a white Subaru Legacy headed to the city of Vergennes, according to authorities.</p><p> Vergennes police located the vehicle on Main Street. Authorities subsequently located and arrested Urban, who was lodged at the Marble Valley Correctional Center on $100,000 bail, according to VSP.</p><p> Police did not report any injuries as a result of the alleged incident.</p>
