VERGENNES — After a four or five month investigation by the Vergennes Police Department, authorities on Tuesday cited 29-year-old Joshua Michael Gordon for two counts of selling narcotics and one for selling heroin in Ferrisburgh.

Police described Gordon as homeless, but said his last known abode was in Vergennes. Vergennes Police Chief George Merkel said his officers could not find Gordon, but that Burlington police did spot him and cited him on behalf of Vergennes.

Although this investigation is wrapped up, Merkel said police are looking into other drug cases.

Poudyel, 32, of Burlington at the intersection of Routes 7 and 22A. Police said Poudyel  stopped his vehicle on Meigs Road, parked on the wrong side and obstructed traffic. Vergennes police said they couldn’t test Poudyel’s blood alcohol level because he wouldn’t cooperate with them, but they cited him for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a criminally suspended license, and they took him to the Act One detox center in Burlington, where a blood alcohol test was to be administered.

After smelling marijuana and getting the OK to search the car, the officer found marijuana and issued the driver a civil ticket for possession of marijuana.

•  On Aug. 4 went to the Job Corps campus on the report that one student may have verbally threatened to shoot another student with a gun. The first student did not display a gun, so that didn’t prompt police action. But school officials removed him from the school for violating school policy and police issued a no trespass order.
