MIDDLEBURY — Middlebury police cited Cody A. Prime, 31, of Vergennes for driving under the influence, following a traffic stop for going the wrong way on a one-way street in downtown Middlebury on Sept. 18.

Police said they measured Prime’s blood-alcohol content at 0.163 percent one hour after the stop; the legal limit for driving is 0.08 percent.

In other action last week, Middlebury police:

•  Were informed of the theft of a blue 2008 Yamaha 125 moped from the Exchange Street area on Sept. 12.

•  Responded to a report of a woman yelling at people on Main Street on Sept. 12.

•  Returned, to Counseling Service of Addison County (CSAC) officials in Woodland Park, a suicidal woman who had left the office without consent on Sept. 12.

•  Took a suicidal patient to Porter Hospital for treatment by CSAC officials on Sept. 12.

•  Assisted a local resident who reported being scammed by a Craigslist ad on Sept. 12.

•  Were informed of the theft of a “for sale” sign from a Case Street property on Sept. 12.

•  Separated two people involved in a dispute in the Valley View area on Sept. 12.

•  Ticketed a person for possession of marijuana after stopping a vehicle stopped for a traffic infraction on Court Street on Sept. 13.

•  Mediated a dispute between two brothers over purchase of a gas tank in the North Pleasant Street area on Sept. 13.

•  Checked the welfare of a Jayne Court resident and found Dahn A. Roy, 38, deceased inside his home on Sept. 14. Police said no foul play is suspected in Roy’s death.

•  Investigated, on Sept. 14, an attempted break-in at Vermont Field Sports on Route 7 South. Police said the would-be burglars fled the scene after the business’s audible alarm sounded.

•  Assisted Middlebury Regional EMS in responding to a Woodland Park residence on a Sept. 15 report of a woman who had overdosed.

•  Were informed that someone had stolen a Stihl chainsaw and weed whacker from the r.k. Miles property off Exchange Street on Sept. 15. Store officials also told police that someone had rummaged through some company trucks.

•  Received a report from Middlebury Union High School on Sept. 15 about some “potential illegal sexual activity.” Police provided no further information on the allegations, but said they are investigating the matter.

•  Investigated an untimely death at a Rogers Road residence on Sept. 15. Police identified the deceased as Ralph Hayes Jr., 62, of Middlebury. Police said no foul play is suspected in Hayes’ death.

•  Received a report that someone had vandalized a car while it was parked off Exchange Street on Sept. 15.

•  Helped defuse a family dispute at an Ellen Drive residence on Sept. 15.

•  Responded to a report of a man refusing to leave the Maplefields store on Route 7 South in East Middlebury on Sept. 15. Police said the person left before they arrived on scene.

•  Told a man to leave the Champlain Farms store on Court Street after he allegedly harassed people in the business on Sept. 15.

•  Responded to a noise complaint in the Shannon Street area on Sept. 16.

•  Turned a drunken college student over to college authorities on Sept. 16.

•  Took into protective custody a drunken Middlebury College student who allegedly refused to stay out of the roadway at the intersection of Storrs Avenue and College Street on Sept. 16. Police said they ticketed the youth and sent him to Rutland for detox services.

•  Responded to a dispute between some Foster Circle neighbors on Sept. 16.

•  Cited Jason T. Coleman, 25, of Middlebury for allegedly violating a restraining order in the Buttolph Drive area on Sept. 16.

•  Received a report that two allegedly intoxicated Middlebury Union High School students had run off while being escorted by a school staff member during the Sept. 16 football game on campus.

•  Issued court diversion paperwork to a youth who had been walking in the middle of College Street at around midnight on Sept. 17. Police determined the youth had been drinking.

•  Warned the Middlebury College student hosts of a loud party on Washington Street to quiet down on Sept. 17.

•  Assisted Middlebury College Public Safety with a man who had refused to identify himself during an investigation on Freeman Way on Sept. 17.

•  Found drug paraphernalia at a job site off North Pleasant Street on Sept. 17. Police collected the material for disposal.

•  Served a no-trespass order on a man for a Valley View Drive residence on Sept. 17.

•  Investigated a report of a driver leaving the scene of an accident in the Bakery Lane area on Sept. 18.

•  Responded to a speeding complaint in the Lindale Trailer Park on Sept. 18.
