MIDDLEBURY — Middlebury police responded to a report on June 21 of a woman threatening to break some windows on a Case Street home in order to get inside to collect her children, whom police said were not inside.

Police said they took the woman to Porter Hospital to be evaluated by the Counseling Service of Addison County.

In other action last week, Middlebury police:

•  Heard from a local man who told police on June 19 he believed he was being followed by people who intend to harm him. Police looked into the complaint.

•  Served a no-trespass order on June 19 on a man who was no longer welcome at a Court Street apartment.

•  Helped Key Bank officials investigate a possible online fraud case on June 19.

•  Warned two drunken men who were hanging out at the gazebo on the village green on June 20.

•  Received a report that someone had left their dog in a parked vehicle at The Centre shopping center parking lot for several minutes during warm temperatures on June 20.

•  Responded to a report about a woman “with mental health issues” at the Middlebury Short Stop on Court Street Extension on June 20.

•  Helped Porter Hospital officials with an out-of-control patient on June 21.

•  Assisted Porter Hospital officials with a patient who was having a mental health crisis on June 21.

•  Received a visit at police headquarters from a woman complaining about a child custody issue on June 21.

•  Were informed someone had sprayed graffiti onto the Sand Hill Bridge on Route 125 in East Middlebury on June 21. Anyone with information on the culprit(s) is asked to call Middlebury Police at 388-3191.

•  Helped resolve a child custody issue at an Elm Street residence on June 22.

•  Quieted two women who had allegedly been heard screaming in the Mill Street area on June 22.

•  Responded to a trespassing complaint at a Jayne Court residence on June 22.

•  Responded to the Seminary Street area on June 22 on a dispute between two people related to the ownership of a vehicle.

•  Arrested Daniel Williams, a 30-year-old transient, on an outstanding arrest warrant on June 22. Police said they arrested Williams in the Jayne Court neighborhood.

•  Helped resolve a family dispute at an Elm Street residence on June 23. Police said a man had threatened to take his child from his girlfriend’s residence.

•  Were informed on June 23 that a mental health patient was trying to leave Porter Hospital without permission. Police said the patient was back in hospital care upon their arrival.

•  Helped Middlebury Regional EMS officials with a patient who had cut himself in the Court Street area on June 23.

•  Responded to two separate noise complaints on June 24, one about loud music coming from the Rogers Road area, and the other about a loud party at a Weybridge Street residence.

•  Received a report about a drunken woman walking off Route 7 North on June 25. Police said they were unable to locate such a person.

•  Investigated a report of a stolen tricycle in the Jayne Court neighborhood on June 25.

•  Responded to an unlawful mischief complaint at Middlebury Union High School on June 26. Police said someone had poured some sugar in the gas tank of a student’s vehicle.
