MIDDLEBURY — Middlebury police cited David Warner, 66, of Middlebury for allegedly violating an abuse prevention order on Oct. 2.

In other action last week, Middlebury police:

•  Investigated an Oct. 2 report about some intoxicated men allegedly causing problems in the new park off College Street, leaving trash on the ground and breaking glass. Police were able to locate a few of these men and turned them over to a sober person.

•  Investigated an attempted burglary at a Court Street medical office on Oct. 2. Police said someone damaged the office door and doorknob lock, but did not get inside.

•  Helped Vergennes police on Oct. 2 catch a man who had allegedly violated an abuse prevention order.

•  Responded to a reported dispute between some Court Street neighbors on Oct. 3.

•  Served a no-trespass order on a man on behalf of Shaw’s Supermarket on Oct. 3.

•  Got help for a woman believed to have sustained a concussion during an accident while walking along Court Street Extension on Oct. 3.

•  Were informed of the theft of a hybrid bike from Old Chapel Road on Oct. 3.

•  Responded to a report of a driver leaving the scene of an accident in the Washington Street area on Oct. 3.

•  Tried to locate a missing person on behalf of the Williston barracks of the Vermont State Police on Oct. 3.

•  Received a report someone had vandalized a bicycle parked on Main Street on Oct. 3.

•  Served a no-trespass order on Oct. 4 on a person suspected to have left the Hannaford Supermarket without paying for some items.

•  Heard from a Sydney Way resident who reported the theft of some prescription drugs on Oct. 4.

•  Calmed a student whom police said “was getting aggressive” on the Middlebury Union High School campus on Oct. 4.

•  Checked on a man seen hanging around behind the Mary Hogan Elementary School on Oct. 5. Police said the man was intoxicated and that he left to get on a bus headed out of town.

•  Assisted Middlebury Regional EMS with a man in need of help in the Seymour Street Extension area on Oct. 5.

•  Helped Middlebury Regional EMS with a suicidal woman who had allegedly overdosed in the Jackson Lane area on Oct. 5. Police said the woman was taken to Porter Hospital.

•  Helped state police on Oct. 6 on Weybridge Road with a person they described as being “intoxicated, possibly dangerous.”

•  Responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 7 South and Boardman Street on Oct. 6. Police reported no injuries.

•  Investigated a junk ordinance complaint at a Sarah’s Way property on Oct. 6.

•  Responded to a noise complaint in the Woodbridge Lane area on Oct. 6.

•  Were informed someone had damaged a car parked behind the Middlebury town offices on Oct. 6.

•  Were informed of the theft of a bow, bow case and other archery equipment from a vehicle parked off Route 7 South on Oct. 7.

•  Responded to the untimely death of a person at a Fields Road residence on Oct. 7. Police said Juana De Coca, 57, was found deceased in her home, the result of natural causes. De Coca was an associate professor of Spanish at Middlebury College.

•  Responded to complaints about a loud Middlebury College student party in the Seymour Street Extension area on Oct. 7. The complainant also reported attendees urinating outside of the home. Police said they issued the party hosts a noise warning.

•  Referred a local resident to Family Court on Oct. 7 to get resolution of a complaint of a parent withholding child visitation rights.

•  Helped Middlebury Regional EMS with a patient who had overdosed in the Woodland Park area on Oct. 8.

•  Investigated a report of a vehicle being vandalized while parked off North Pleasant Street on Oct. 8.

•  Were asked to check on an allegedly suicidal person in the Elizabeth Court area on Oct. 8. State police were in the area and responded to the call, according to Middlebury authorities.

•  Interviewed a worker at Two Brothers Tavern about an incident involving a drunken patron on Oct. 8.

•  Checked on the welfare of a potentially suicidal woman in the Woodland Park area on Oct. 8.

•  Turned a drunken Middlebury College student over to campus public safety officials on Oct. 9.
