BRISTOL — Bristol police responded to a two-car crash on Taylor Avenue reported on the evening of Friday, Oct. 13.

According to the complainant, the at-fault vehicle left the scene and was last seen traveling north on Taylor Avenue at approximately 7:40 p.m. This vehicle was described as a black or dark-colored hatchback with Vermont plates. Anyone with information is asked to contact Bristol police at 453-2533.

In other action Oct. 10 through 15, Bristol police:

•  Conducted eight foot patrols on Main Street and in the surrounding area and secured unsecured buildings on Oct. 10 and 11.

•  Conducted security checks of Mount Abraham Union High School on Oct. 10, 11, 12 and 14.

•  Completed foot patrol on Mountain Street in the area of Bristol Elementary School on Oct. 10, 11, 12 (twice) and 13.

•  Completed fingerprint requests for individuals on Oct. 11, 13 and 15.

•  Provided parking enforcement for the MAUHS fire lane after the school received a complaint on Oct. 10.

•  Began investigating a report of two stolen bicycles that had been taken during the night from a Mountain Street residence on Oct. 11. One is a Raleigh and one a Motobecane; both are gray. Anyone with information on this theft please is asked to contact Bristol police.

•  Notified the town of Bristol of a defective street light on South Street on the north side of the bridge on Oct. 11.

•  Attended training on human trafficking at the Addison Unit for Special Investigations on Oct. 12.

•  Observed no violations during 30 minutes of town-contracted traffic patrol at Daniel’s Four Corner on Oct. 12.

•  Helped resolve a parent-child issue on Oct. 13 at 8:57 a.m.

•  Helped resolve a parent-child issue outside the district at the request of Vermont State Police on Oct. 13

•  Assisted the state police with a search warrant on an electronic device related to an on-going investigation on Oct. 13.

•  Conducted 30 minutes of town-contracted traffic patrol on Route 116 North on Oct. 13. No violations were observed.

•  Completed annual firearms qualification training on Oct. 14.

•  Responded to a reported missing person complaint on Oct. 14 and learned the person reported as missing had been located.

•  Contacted local social services agencies and found temporary housing for a citizen in need of housing for the weekend on Oct. 14.

•  At 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 15 responded to a West Street business after an employee found a PVC pipe with what appeared to be dried blood on it in an outside trash can. Police have security camera footage of the responsible persons and are attempting to identify them so that they can be interviewed.
