MIDDLEBURY — Middlebury police cited Derek St. George, 22, of Jacksonville, N.C., for driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop on Route 23 on Nov. 23.

Police said they measured his blood-alcohol content at 0.141 percent; the legal limit for driving is 0.08.

In other action last week, Middlebury police:

•  Located a student who had run away from the Patricia A. Hannaford Career Center on Nov. 20.

•  Served temporary restraining orders on two local men on Nov. 20.

•  Agreed to provide increased patrols in the town’s industrial park in response to a local business owner who reported suspicious activity in the Exchange Street on Nov. 20.

•  Investigated a trespassing complaint at a Boardman Street business in Nov. 20.

•  Investigated a domestic disturbance at a Sidney Way residence on Nov. 21.

•  Check the welfare of a local man in the Court Square area on Nov. 21. Police said the check was requested by the man’s daughter, who said she had not heard from her dad in two years. Police contacted the man and asked him to call his daughter.

•  Heard from a Seymour Street resident on Nov. 21 who alleged a “dark-skinned” woman pulled up to his property and stole a bench from his lawn. Police said the woman was wearing a parka and the bench was green, with wooden legs.

The matter remains under investigation.

•  Seized some marijuana and related paraphernalia from a vehicle during a traffic stop on Route 7 North on Nov. 21.

•  Responded to four separate noise complaints in the areas around North Pleasant, Shannon and Weybridge streets on Nov. 21. Police said they also found “underage drinking violations” at the Shannon Street location.

•  Investigated a trespassing complaint filed by a North Pleasant Street resident on Nov. 24.

•  Told a Washington Street resident to lower the volume of his music at around 11:30 p.m. on Nov. 22.

•  Were asked to check on the status of an aircraft overdue at the Middlebury State Airport at around 10 p.m. on Nov. 22. Tragically, the plane was that of 89-year-old Norman Baker, who as the Addison Independent reported, perished when his aircraft crashed in Pittsford earlier that evening.

•  Located a woman on Nov. 25 in the Porter Hospital parking lot whom Counseling Service of Addison County officials believed might have overdosed on pills. Police said the woman was admitted to the hospital.

•  Helped an elderly woman who had become confused and lost while in the Marble Works complex on Nov. 25.

•  Received a report that a wallet had been stolen from the Middlebury Recreation Center on Nov. 25. The matter remains under investigation.

•  Responded to a noise complaint in the North Pleasant Street area at around 4 a.m. on Nov. 25. Police said the culprits were told to quiet down.

•  Stopped a reportedly impaired driver on Main Street on Nov. 26. Police said the driver was fine.

•  Stopped a driver who had allegedly been seen driving erratically on Court Street on Nov. 26. Police said the driver was not impaired.
