BRANDON — Billy Joe Wedge, age 40, died unexpectedly Friday, April 7, 2017, at his home in Brandon.
Mr. Wedge was born in Middlebury on February 28, 1977. He was the son of Donald and Donna (Grace) Wedge. He grew up in Bristol, where he received his early education and had attended Mount Abraham Union High School.
He had worked at Carrara & Sons in Middlebury. He most recently worked as an equipment operator for D & F Excavating and Paving.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending time with his family.
Surviving is his wife, Jennifer (Clark) Wedge of Brandon, whom he married June 2, 2012, his father, Donald Wedge of Brandon and his mother, Donna Johnson of Forestdale; four sons; Jonathan Bolio of Stowe, Skyler Germaine of Hinesburg, Arron Giard of Salisbury and Mason Wedge of Brandon; 2 daughters, Haley Palin of Brandon and Autumn Germaine; three brothers, John Wedge and Ernest Wedge, both of West Virginia, and Timothy Wedge of Rutland; three sisters, Lynn Haskins and Rena Clark, both of Brandon, and Amanda Johnson of West Virginia. One grandson and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him.
A private graveside committal service and burial will take place at a later date at Maple Cemetery in Lincoln.
