The aim is to tell readers about their friends and neighbors and about events in local government, schools, sports and business that affect how readers live. Whether you decide to pick up our paper in print or online, we’re grateful for your attention.

In Print
We won’t argue that there’s nothing better than the feeling of sitting down to page through a newspaper over a cup of coffee. If you live or work in Addison County, you can pick up a copy of our twice weekly newspaper at a newsstand near you, or you can subscribe for home delivery. It’s a great way to take in the stories, photos, advertisements and events listings that make our award-winning newspaper the go-to source of news in Addison County.

On the Web
If you prefer to get your news online, or if you live outside of central Vermont, you might find that our Web site is the most convenient option for you. Our site is a hybrid of free and paid content. You can always read a few sample articles each issue at no cost, and brief previews of most of our stories are available to everyone as well.

To gain access to the entire newspaper, though, you’ll need to become an online subscriber. Our subscription system is flexible. Just looking for one-time access to a particular article? You can pay for a one-day pass on the site. Give the Web site a whirl with a one-month subscription, or you can pay for six-month or 12-month accounts at discounted rates.

An online subscription comes with a lot of perks. We know that a computer and keyboard can’t match the feeling leafing through a newspaper the old fashioned way, but online subscribers do have access to PDF reproductions of our print product. Plus, you can interact with the newspaper in a way that is impossible in print. Read posts from our community bloggers exclusive to the Web site, join the conversation by commenting on some of the top stories of the day, and e-mail featured news stories to your friends and family.

You can also use an interactive version of our events and sports calendars, browse a online version of our classified ads listing, and sign up to receive breaking news e-mails. Also be sure to check out our “multimedia” section, where you can view videos, audio slideshows and photographs from other readers.
