Lucille LaRose

BRISTOL — Lucille Gwyneth (Bushey) LaRose, beloved wife and soul partner of Roy E. LaRose and loving mother to David LaRose, Michele (LaRose) Marcotte and Collin LaRose, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a brief illness on Jan. 14, 2011.

Delphine Palmore

BELLOWS FALLS — Delphine Dearborn Palmore, 90, of Bellows Falls, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at her home.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday, Jan. 18, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Bristol, with burial following in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

She was born May 6, 1920, in Lincoln, the daughter of Noah J. and Leah (Highter) Duclos.
She attended schools in Lincoln.

She worked as a social worker with the elderly for many years and was a volunteer at Proctor Hospital’s Round Robin Gift Shop.

Joseph Sears Jr.

BRANDON — Joseph Lawrence Sears Jr., 71, of Brandon died Dec. 28, 2010, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington.

The graveside committal service and burial will take place, at a later date, in Pine Hill Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Brandon Area Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 232, Brandon, VT 05733.

He was born in Brandon on April 6, 1939. He was the son of Joseph L. and Nellie (Butler) Sears Sr. He received his education in local Brandon schools.

In earlier years he was employed by Omya. He later worked in the kitchen at Ponderosa Steak House in Rutland.

Mary Lou Wagner

MIDDLEBURY — Mary Lou Wagner, 78, of North Ferrisburgh, formerly of Newark, N.Y., died peacefully on Jan. 7, 2011, at Helen Porter Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Middlebury.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on Jan. 4, 1933, to Norina and Edmund Burbage.

She married Harry C. Wagner on July 14, 1955.

Her family says she was a thoughtful and caring mother who enjoyed her children and dear friends.

Camilla Quenneville

 

ORWELL — Camilla Margaret Quenneville, age 95, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, at her home in Orwell.

Camilla was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on March 25, 1915. She was the daughter of Evariste and Clementine (Labelle) Bolduc. She moved with her family to New Haven when she was a child.

April 12, 1944, she married Hector Quenneville. They owned and operated their farm in Orwell for over 30 years. Mr. Quenneville died Sept. 28, 1998.

Annette Coyle Baronoski

HERTFORD, N.C. — Annette Coyle Baronoski, 70, of Hertford died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Memorial services were held Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, at 11 a.m. in St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Edenton, N.C., with the Rev. Douglas Reed as celebrant. A Catholic burial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, in St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Vergennes, Vt.

Born Oct. 20, 1940, in Monkton, Vt., she was the widow of Daniel Dennis Baronoski and the daughter of the late Patrick and Marie (Little) Coyle.

Eric Johnson

PALM BAY, Fla. — Eric Neal Johnson, 52, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011, at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne.

The graveside committal service and burial will take place, at a later date, in the family lot at Forest Dale Cemetery in Brandon, Vt.

He was born in Sioux City, Iowa, on April 6, 1958. He was the son of Nora Reed and Norman Johnson Sr.

He grew up in Forest Dale, Vt., and graduated from Otter Valley Union High School.

Rejean Morin

MIDDLEBURY — Rejean E. Morin, 80, died Thursday morning, Dec. 23, 2010, at his Middlebury residence after a brief illness.

Burial will take place this spring at the West Salisbury Cemetery with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Memorial and Honor Program, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.

Born Aug. 24, 1930, in Whiting, he was the son of the late Leo P. and Josephine (Denis) Morin.

Lucienne Brown

MIDDLEBURY — Lucienne R. Brown of Middlebury died at her home on Dec. 31, 2010.

At her request there were no calling hours. A service was held on Jan. 5 at the Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home. Interment will be in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

She was born on April 18, 1920, in Nouzonville, France, a small town in eastern France that would soon be engulfed by World War II.

MARY B. GRIFFIN

MIDDLEBURY — Mary B. Griffin, 89, of Middlebury died at Porter Hospital on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, after a brief illness.

The family is planning to get together for a private celebration of her life later this month.

Born in Buffalo, N.Y., Sept. 11, 1921, she was the daughter of George E. and Ruth (Martin) Bush.

She attended schools in Alden, N.Y., and earned B.A. and M.Ed. degrees at Syracuse University. She taught at Verona High School, Verona, N.Y.; Syracuse University; and Nazareth College in Rochester, N.Y.

Submitting an obituary

The Addison Independent publishes paid and free obituaries. Paid obituaries run just as submitted with a charge of $9.00 per column inch, and the editor shapes free obituaries to conform to our editorial style. We run photos of the person if they are submitted in a relatively high-quality format.

Generally, obituaries follow this form:
TOWN - Name, age, of town, died on date, of cause of death. He/She was born on date in town, the son/daughter of father's name and mother's name, including maiden name in parentheses.

Then include a paragraph or two about where the person went to school and what they did for work; where they lived, who they married and when.

Add a sentence or two about what made the person special to family and friends, including hobbies, avocations or other telling details about their life.

He/She is survived by spouse's name; children named individually (and their spouses and towns of residence, if appropriate); siblings named individually; number of grandchildren, parents or other immediate family members.

He/She was predeceased by names of immediate family members.

A memorial service will be held (fill in details of date, time, and place, plus officiate if applicable) with interment at (place). Memorial contributions may be made to (name and complete address, if applicable).
