MIDDLEBURY — On Saturday night, the Middlebury College women’s hockey team suffered its second straight incredibly frustrating 3-2 loss.

But this one hurt even more than the one six days before, an overtime setback to Trinity in the NESCAC championship game in which Middlebury outshot the Bantams, 44-22.

VERGENNES — Although Coach Connie LaRose’s Mount Abraham Union High School girls’ basketball team did not earn its third straight Division II title this winter, the Eagles compiled a 15-7 record that was easily the area’s best despite a rash of injuries and illnesses.

Unsurprisingly, four of those Eagles are represented on the 2015 Addison Independent Girls’ Basketball All-Star Team, two achieving first-team recognition and two more earning honorable mention.
