Farmer grants of up to $15,000 offered

BURLINGTON — The Northeast Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) Program is seeking applications for 2020 Farmer Grant projects. Proposals are due online by Dec. 3 at 5 p.m.

Sudanese 'lost boy' to tell his story in Bristol


AKOL AGUEK, ONE of the Lost Boys of Sudan and currently an International Student Advisor and Designated School Official at the University of Vermont, will present his life story at Lawrence Memorial Library on Thursday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m.

BRISTOL — In 2001, 40 young Sudanese refugees were welcomed to Burlington. They represented a few of the estimated 17,000 Lost Boys of Sudan.
