Junior Ben Huston and senior Julio Quiles sparked the team. Huston won at 1,000 meters and ran on the Commodores’ winning 4-by-400 and 4-by-800-meter relay teams. Quiles won the 300, finished...

BURLINGTON — A victory by the boys’ four-by-400-meter relay team highlighted the efforts of the Vergennes Union High School indoor track team on Saturday at the University of Vermont. The Commodores picked up fewer victories than the previous week, according to Coach Brad Castillo, because officials inadvertently treated VUHS like a club team instead of a Division II varsity program. As a result, the Commodores competed against Division I programs, and, while they held their own, won less often. The 4x400 relay team of Ben Huston, Gabe Praamsma, Xander DeBlois and Julio Quiles posted a time...
