JUDY ROGERS

ADDISON — Judy Rogers of Addison, Vt., passed away on Oct. 9, 2023. Judy was born April 29, 1930, in Morristown, N.J., where she attended local schools and college. She was predeceased by her parents, Russell and Dorothy Rogers. In 1951 her parents relocated to a farm in Addison. Judy relocated to the farm a few years later.

As a resident of Addison, Judy attended the Addison Methodist Church, participating in many church activities, enjoyed swimming at Vermont Sun, and was an active member in the D.A.R. She received an associates’ degree from the Community College of Vermont when she was 70, the oldest member of her class.

Judy was an avid sports fan. She particularly loved the Brooklyn Dodgers, and followed Roger Federer, her favorite tennis player. She loved crossword puzzles and musical shows, including Lawrence Welk and Andre Rieu. Judy loved animals and always had a special place in her heart for her adopted cats.

We would like to thank her longtime neighbors and friends Larry and Eddie Dubois, and Grace Birchmore for all the wonderful times they spent with Judy and her parents.

We would also like to extend our sincerest gratitude to her caregivers, Emily Rainey and family. We also want to than Addison County Home Health & Hospice for their care and support.
