Late summer abundance
THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC is giving many Addison County residents the time and motivation to turn unused land into gardens from which to harvest fresh vegetables during these uncertain economic times. Jan Louise Ball and, who with her spouse John lives off Mountain Street in Bristol, planted a very impressive vegetable garden that’s maturing nicely right now. The homegrown bounty includes sunflowers, cucumbers, squash, melons, cantaloupe, beets, carrots, chard, celery, green beans, cabbage, several varieties of potatoes, Indian corn, and multiple varieties of flowers and herbs.
