Bristol police seek clues in residential burglary

BRISTOL — The Bristol Police Department is asking for public help to solve an alleged burglary that occurred at a residence near the town green earlier this month.

On Saturday, Oct. 5, around 10 a.m., a person entered a home on West Street, near School Street, and stole money, according to Bristol police.

The suspect, who is described by the BPD as a white male about five feet tall with a slender build, wearing dark clothing and possibly a hat, may have left on foot and headed east toward Main Street.

Police ask that anyone who may have home or other security cameras on School Street, Park Place, Church Street or West Street (between Maple and Main) to review their recordings from 9:30 to 10 a.m. on Oct. 5, and notify the BPD if they observe anything of interest.

The BPD has begun viewing available footage, but has not completed its investigation, said Chief Bruce Nason in an email to the Independent. It has also recovered some items from the residence and is having them examined for fingerprints.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact Bristol police at (802) 453-2533.
