COVID-19 pop-up testing is scheduled

MIDDLEBURY — The state of Vermont is offering COVID-19 testing to members of the public at an ongoing series of events. Several of these pop-up testing events are scheduled for Middlebury.

They are for asymptomatic people to sign up for a COVID-19 test to tell if they currently have a COVID-19 infection. This is not a serology/antibody test, and will not tell you if you were sick with COVID-19 in the past.

To sign up for a free test, head online to and follow the steps to register in advance.

The information will be used by the Vermont Department of Health and testing partners for public health purposes. Your information will be kept confidential and only used for diagnostic and tracking purposes.

Children under 12 months cannot be tested at a pop-up testing site. Please talk to your child’s doctor about testing options.

The next pop-up COVID-19 testing site in Addison County is scheduled for June 12 at the Department of Health’s Middlebury office, 156 South Village Green off Court Street. Repeat testing sites are scheduled for June 19 and 26 at the same location.

If your test result is positive, a Public Health Nurse will call you in a few days, and you will get a letter in the mail within a week. If your test result is negative, you will get a letter in the mail within a week.

Each testing site has limited capacity and many fill up. So if the event you wish to attend is full, the website has a form you can fill out tell state officials to contact you about future sites in your area.

If you don't have a vehicle and need a ride to this testing site, please contact 833-387-7200 for help.
