JESSE RAY BEAVER

FERRISBURGH — On December 18, 2019, Jesse Ray Beaver passed away suddenly after a long battle with addiction. He was born at his family’s home in Ferrisburgh, Vermont, on September 21, 1979, to his mother, Geraldine Mae Beaver, and his father, Raymond Russell Beaver, Jr.
As a child Jesse was a blond-haired, blue-eyed, curious and energetic child who loved his family, the game of baseball and making others laugh. His family was loving and kind and Jesse was afforded a childhood of happiness and opportunity. He had an imagination for greatness, never wanting the status quo or to be common. As a young child he would often proclaim that his dog “Willy” was the fastest runner in the whole world. He was passionate about life and had a sense of adventure that was uncanny. In early adulthood, while attending college, he would put his need for adventure to practice as he traveled to Costa Rica, Ireland and cross country several times. Jesse always dreamed that a better life was waiting for him somewhere else. That all his troubles would end with a change in geography. He would live briefly in New Hampshire, Florida and West Virginia, but Vermont was and will always be his home.
Jesse leaves behind his fiancé Stephanie Lemon and their two-year-old son Grayson Beaver; his parents Ray and Gerry Beaver; sister Sarah Louer, her husband Michael Louer and his nephews and nieces Griffin, Ezra and Scarlett Louer; his brother Ira Beaver, his children Jackson and Adelynn Beaver of Florida and his fiancé Adrienne Brown; and brother Alan Marshall and his wife Christine Howe Marshall. Additionally, he leaves behind family and friends that will miss him and wish that his life had been lived with less sorrow and pain at the hand of addiction, which continues to plague all our communities. We believe that Jesse is now at peace and free of his demons.
A donation can be made to Jesse’s son Grayson through his grandparents. Donations will be put into a trust that has been established for Grayson Beaver.
Services will be held at the New Haven Community Church on January 18 at 11 a.m. with a reception at the church afterward. ◊
