Ron was born on June 28, 1921, in Portland, Ore., the son of Olin C. and Elma (Paulsen) Hadley.

MIDDLEBURY — Helen Kenyon Ryan, age 99, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019, at Vergennes Residential Care.
Mrs. Ryan was born in Walpole, N.H. on June 14, 1920. She was the daughter of Merton and Nettie (Caldwell) Kenyon. She grew up in Walpole, where she received her early education and graduated from Walpole High School, class of 1938. Born in Concord, Mass., to parents Jean-Paul and Elizabeth Carlhian, Judith graduated from Middlesex School in 1978.

She was born February 2, 1951, in Burlington, Vt., the daughter of Raymond and Bridget Evarts.

PORT ORANGE, Fla. — Evelyn Carrie Higbee, known by friends and family as Carrie, 95, formerly of New Haven, Vt., passed away July 8, 2019. Born Evelyn Carrie Edele, in New Haven, Conn., she was predeceased by her parents Frederick and May Edele; four sisters, May Brock, Lillian Dyson, Vida Bristol and Stella Church; and two brothers, Frederick and Alfred. Shortly after WWII ended she met and married Amos Fred Higbee, of Ferrisburgh, Vt. They lived in New Haven until 1970, when they relocated to Daytona Beach, Fla. MIDDLEBURY — William Parker Marks Sr., 88, of Middlebury, died at home on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019, at 4:30 a.m.
William was born in Speed, N.C., on Dec. 10, 1930, to William Ezra Marks and Margaret Elizabeth Parker. The Rev. Marks was a retired Episcopal priest. He is survived by his wife Deborah Gist Marks, a son, a daughter and three stepsons.

VERGENNES — Elizabeth (Betty) Child Shonnard died peacefully at her Ravensnest home surrounded by her family on Oct. 3.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on May 25, 1923 to Vermont parents, Marjorie Ryder and Charles D. Child. The couple who moved back to their roots several years later where Betty grew up with her brother John on Fairpoint Farm in Weybridge.
