BOMOSEEN/MIDDLEBURY — Frank A. Wilbur Jr., 86, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019, at Porter Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born April 21, 1933, in Staten Island, N.Y., the son of Frank A. Wilbur Sr. and Elizabeth “Betty” (Ambler) Wilbur. Frank joined the Coast Guard after High School and served during the Korean Era. He was a police officer for Rutgers University serving at the rank of Captain and retiring in 1994. RUTLAND — Nancy Sullivan Nevin Brileya, 80, of Rutland, died Saturday evening, Sept. 21, 2019, at the Rutland Health and Rehab Center. She was born on Dec. 10, 1938, in Bridgeport, Conn., the daughter of George and Helen (Wernecke) Nevin. She graduated as the Valedictorian of her high school. Mrs. Brileya was a long-time resident of Shoreham, where she served as the postmistress for 10 years. Then she was employed by the Lazarus Department Store in Middlebury until her retirement. POULTNEY — Carl William Fuller, age 70, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019, at his home in Poultney. Mr. Fuller was born in Orwell on May 11, 1949. He was the son of Carl F. and Susan (Spaulding) Fuller. He grew up in Hubbardton, where he received his early education. He graduated from Poultney High School, class of 1967, and from Lyndon State. He entered the United States Army and served in Vietnam, where he was awarded an Army Commendation Medal and a Bronze Star.
