NEW HAVEN — June A. Olson, age 89, passed away on Sept. 20, 2021, at her home in New Haven, Vt., where she had lived the last four years with her daughter Susan and family. June was born June 16, 1932, in Randolph, N.Y., one of 10 children born to Cora Estelle (Grant) and Leon Victor Hettenbaugh. June was a championship bowler in her younger years and loved fishing, gardening, sewing and spending time with family. She gifted many family members with her beautiful quilts. LINCOLN — David Peirce, 72, of Lincoln, Vt., died Sunday, Aug. 15, at home peacefully from natural causes. A memorial service has been planned for Saturday, Oct. 2, at 11 a.m. at the Congregational Church of Middlebury, located at 2 Main Street, in Middlebury. Arrangements by Middlebury Floral and Gifts.
PALM BAY, Fla — Janet M. Scoville, 59, of Palm Bay, Fla., died at home of natural causes on Aug. 29, 2021. Janet was predeceased by her parents, George Scoville and Kathryn (Provancha Scoville) Vaughn (originally from Monkton), and her sister Cheryl. She is survived by her brother Tim Scoville of Maryland. Born April 22, 1962, in Glens Falls, N.Y., Janet moved to Merritt Island, Fla., in 1972. She served in the U.S. Army for 10 years, deploying to Europe and Iraq during Operation Desert Storm. Janet then moved to Maryland and worked in telecommunications before returning to Florida in 2012.

FERRISBURGH — Kathryn “Kay” R. Jerry, 93, died Monday, Sept. 13, 2021 at Porter Hospital in Middlebury. She was born in Roxbury on July 28, 1928, the daughter of Frank and Jesse Drown. She is a graduate of Northfield High School, class of 1947. She married Bernard M. Jerry in 1947. They lived in Northfield until 1965, moving to Ferrisburgh to pursue farming. They lived most of their married lives on their farm in Ferrisburgh. Bernard predeceased her in 2015. Kay was an avid and skilled quilter. She made quilts for all her family as well as many friends. BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. —Richard (Dick) Paul Mitchell Sr., 81 years old, passed away on Nov. 4, 2019, at Bethesda Hospital in Boynton Beach, Fla. Richard was born in Middlebury, Vt., on April 28, 1938. He was the son of predeceased Isadore and Kate Mitchell of Cornwall, Vt.  Dick graduated from Middlebury High School in 1957, years later receiving the Baseball/Football Alumni Award from Middlebury HS. BRIDPORT — Albert J. Brouillard, 70, of Bridport passed away September 17, 2021 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
