BRISTOL — Viola R. Bedell, 82, of Bristol, passed away Monday, Jan. 27, 2020, at McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester. She was born Oct. 21, 1937, in Burlington, the daughter of James and Ruth Martin Brown. She was predeceased by her husband Ellis Bedell in 2002. BRISTOL — Andrea Jackman Halnon, 66, died on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020, after a year-long battle with cancer. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her adoring family. Andrea was born Aug. 12, 1953, to Glenn and Barbara Jackman and grew up in Bristol, where she graduated from Mount Abraham Union High School in 1971. BURLINGTON — Sandra Louise Michler Imes, 68, passed away January 21, 2020 after a five-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Sandy was born June 27, 1951, in Easton, Pa., to Robert Wilson Michler and Louise Virginia Adams. She graduated from Millersville State College in 1973 with a Bachelor of Education. BRISTOL —  Agnes Guillow Novak passed away on Jan. 18, 2020, in Bristol. She was 99. Agnes was born May 31, 1920, in Unity, N.H., to Doris Walker Guillow and James Rogers Guillow. She attended schools in Proctor, Middlebury and Castleton College. During WWII Agnes worked at the Springfield Armory in Springfield, Mass., making parts for M1 rifles, as well as anti-aircraft guns at Watervliet Arsenal in Watervliet, N.Y. MIDDLEBURY — Dumont Rush, Middlebury College Class of 1943, died Jan. 15, 2020, of pneumonia. He is survived by his wife Peggy; daughters Lauren, Susan and Pamela of Vancouver, Wash.; daughter Karen and son Michael of Texas; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A nuclear engineer, Dumont’s last business card declared him a Tinker. A good neighbor, generous friend, pilot and sailor, family says he now sails a wider ocean.
