BRISTOL — Melissa A. Norris, daughter of Michelle G. Norris of Starksboro and Alan D. Norris of Hinesburg, passed away unexpectedly July 11, 2021. She was born July 4, 1975.
She leaves her parents, her beloved son, Dakota A. Norris, and birth daughter Violet Michelle Norris Whitcomb; brother Mathew A. Norris and Carla Jimmo; stepmom Nancy Norris and sister Natalie Norris; many special aunts, uncles and cousins, and especially Amie and Dave Whitcomb, Violet’s parents.

Born in 1921 to Howard Parmelee Eells and Adele Chisholm Eells of Cleveland, Ohio, and Lake Placid, N.Y., Adele graduated from the Hathaway Brown School in Cleveland and attended Bennington College and the Amy Sacher School for Design in Boston, where she met her future husband, Norman Pierce. MIDDLEBURY — Virginia Rohrbaugh, neé Symons, passed away on Sunday July, 11, 2021, in the middle of her 89th year. She was born Feb. 9, 1933, on a farm in Swanton, Vt., to William and Ethel Symons. She grew up a hellion and carried on to enjoy an adventurous life on her own terms.
