FERRISBURGH — Charles “Ed” Chamberlain passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019, at his home in Ferrisburgh.
Ed was born on June 15, 1930, the son of Marion and Charles Chamberlain.
He was employed by Simmonds Precision in Vergennes as a tool and die maker and retired after 35 years.
Ed loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and fishing.
He married Mary Bolio, who predeceased him in 1988.
He is survived by daughter Claudia Marsh of Vergennes, grandchildren Jessica Kimball and Jason Marsh and great- grandchildren Devon, Casey, Jordan and Tyler Kimball.

MIDDLEBURY — Anita Ferland Duclos, 88, of Middlebury passed away peacefully at her home with her children by her side on Dec. 17, 2019.
Anita was born to Wilfred and Lea (Limoges) Ferland in Middlebury. She lived her entire life in Middlebury and Weybridge and graduated from Middlebury High School (class of 1949).
Her various jobs beginning in childhood included delivering telegrams on her bike, pumping gas at her father’s service station, chambermaid and waitress at the Grand View Inn on North Pleasant Street, and secretary at a law office.

MIDDLEBURY — Betty J. Harrison, 90, died Dec. 16, 2019. She was born Jan. 1, 192, in Portland, Maine.
She is survived by her children Holly Doyle, Robin Falta, Bridget Harrison, Georgia Hamilton and Jim Harrison; her sons-in-law Dick, Bob and Randy; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also by her many friends at Project Independence, the VFW and her bingo buddies.
She was predeceased by her husband Bob, her daughter Bette and son Don.

FERRISBURGH — Donald T. Myers passed away Dec. 14, 2019, in the Arch Room at Porter Rehab in Middlebury. Donald was born in Burlington, Vt., on Jan. 2, 1952, to Robert Myers and Dorothy (Sears) Myers. Donald married his high school sweetheart Margie St. Jean in August, 1972.

SHOREHAM — Charles W. Treadway 77, passed away Friday, Dec. 13, 2019. He was born Jan. 26, 1942, in Rutland, Vt., the son of Norman and Alma (Locke) Treadway.
He attended Shoreham High School in Shoreham, Vt. He was employed on the Norman Treadway farm.
He married Margery (Bullard) Treadway in 1964. He was a DHIA Supervisor along with his wife for about two years. They moved to the Norman Treadway farm in Shoreham, and farmed there for many years. He then became a part-time employee for ACCS (Addison County Commission Sales).

BRISTOL — Kande and Gary Guilmette, kind and loving partners, parents, grandparents, and friends, passed away on Dec. 1, 2019. Kande was 70 and Gary was 71.
Kande and Gary are survived by their children, Brande (Maurice), and Brie (Trace), and grandchildren Cree, Kyi, Cora and Noah. She was born July 28, 1932, in New Haven, Vt., the daughter of Raymond Poulin and Anna Meehan. She graduated valedictorian of her class at Bristol High School in 1950. She worked for many years as a secretary and bookkeeper. After marrying her husband, Donald, she worked for many years in support of their dairy farm. LINCOLN — Muriel Alta (Farr) Orvis died on Dec. 4, 2019, at Vergennes Residential Care Home. Muriel was born on March 18, 1922, to Seymour and Leah Farr. She grew up on Quaker Street and attended school at the Corner School in Lincoln.
Muriel married Gordon Orvis on March 30, 1940, and together they raised three sons in their home on Forge Hill in West Lincoln. Muriel was a homemaker for many years, but when her youngest son could well look out for himself she went to work at Van Raalte and then to Drake & Smith, where she spent 18 years and retired.

BRISTOL — Alice (LaDeau) Clapper died Wednesday, Nov. 27, in Rutland while her daughter was holding her hand. She was born May 22, 1939, in Middlebury, to William LaDeau and Cleo (Barnard) Oliver. She was predeceased by her husband Donald and son Stephen Clapper.
Alice leaves behind her four children Paul, Donna and Peter Jewel of Bristol, Wallace and Sandra of St. George and Bruce and wife Melissa of Connecticut, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
