She was the daughter of Joseph and Annie (Laycock) Wheatley. She grew up in Pawtucket, the youngest of nine children. MIDDLEBURY — Roberta Anne Higgins Eaton, formerly of Middlebury, Vt., and Hilton Head Island, S.C., died Nov. 9, 2019, in Bristol, Vt. Bobbi was born in Rutland, Vt., on March 27, 1925, to Robert Mathew Higgins and Elizabeth Evalina Lassor Higgins. She graduated from Mount St. Joseph’s Academy and Rutland Business College. FLETCHER — Larry Wayne Hill, 73, passed away at his home on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Burlington on May 25, 1946, to the late Wayne C. and Beatrice (Besaw) Hill. Larry married the former Phyllis LaFountain on Aug. 22, 1970. He worked on the family farm in Starksboro, delivered newspapers for the Burlington Free Press and eventually at TD Bank. BRISTOL — Richard Ketchledge, 63, of Bristol, died at 11:15 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019, in his home. He was born Jan. 22, 1956, in Palmer, Mass., the son of Edward Ketchledge Sr. and Clara Rossi. BRISTOL — George Edward Smith, lifelong Bristol resident, passed away 2019, at UVM Medical Center in Burlington at the age of 93. He was born in Bristol on May 26, 1926, to Edward and Grace (Lane) Smith. Upon graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Navy and served during World War II. EAST MIDDLEBURY — Roy E. Wilkinson died on Nov. 3, 2019. Roy was born on Oct. 11, 1924, in Rutland Town, where he grew up, the son of Benjamin H. and Ella Peters Wilkinson. In his younger years he worked various occupations, which included logging, ice delivery, a scale company and lumber mill. While working for Crystal Ice Company he delivered ice to Kehoe’s Diner, where he met his future wife. In April of 1944 Roy joined the United States Marine Corps.
