MIDDLEBURY — Arnold R. Highfield, a resident of Middlebury, Vt., and St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, passed at the age of 79, on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019, at the Porter Medical Center in Middlebury. At his side was his loving wife Shirley, and various members of their family.
Arnold was born in New Boston, Ohio, on March 10, 1940, to the late Arnold and Hazel (Nichols) Highfield of New Boston. Arnold was an author, scholar, businessman and poet. SHOREHAM — Jean D. Anderson, 93, of Shoreham passed away peacefully Aug. 30, 2019. Jean was born on July 17, 1926, in Shoreham, Vt., daughter of Herbert and Alice (Goodro) Dudley.
Jean was born and lived most of her life in Shoreham, graduating from Newton Academy High School in 1944. She went on to Becker College in Worcester, Mass., graduating in 1946 with a two-year certificate in the secretarial fields.

She was born on Sept 15, 1944, to Rene and Anita Poirier near Ottawa, Canada. She and her parents moved to Middlebury when she was two.

PHOENIX, Ariz. — Stephen J. Busier, formerly of Hinesburg, Vt., passed away unexpectedly at his home in Phoenix, Ariz., on April 13, 2019, at the age of 65.
Steve was born in Colchester on April 4, 1954, to Raymond H. Busier & Beulah E. (Berry) Busier, the seventh of nine children.
