Locals named boys’ soccer league stars

ADDISON COUNTY — Eight members of the Middlebury, Mount Abraham, Vergennes and Otter Valley union high school boys’ soccer teams have been named as either Division II or III All-State Players and Lake Division or Marble Valley League B Division First Team All-Stars.
Named as both D-II All-State Players and Lake Division First Team All-Stars were three MUHS seniors, Spencer Doran, Eben Jackson and Owen Palcsik; Eagle senior Eric McKean; and Eagle junior Branden Reynolds.
Doran also was recognized by the Lake Division coaches as the league’s Defensive Player of the Year.
VUHS senior Josias Salomao and VUHS junior Jonathan Willis made both the D-III All-State and Lake Division First Teams, and OV senior Sawyer Pierpoint earned spots on both the D-III All-State and MVL B Division First Team.
 A number of their teammates received Second Team nods from the Lake Division or MVL. Four Eagles led the way on the Lake Second Team, seniors Silas Burgess, Ethan Dewitt and Sam Schoenhuber and junior Griffin Paradee.
Tiger senior Devon Kearns, Tiger junior Oliver Poduschnick, Commodore senior Jeff Stearns, and Commodore junior Tucker Stearns joined them on the second team.
 From OV, junior Cole Letourneau, sophomore Kieran Williams and freshman Ben Adams were named to the MVL B Division Second Team.
Earning Lake Division Honorable mention were Eagle seniors Jonas Schroeder, and Ryan Lathrop, VUHS senior Kai Williams, Tiger senior Hunter Munteanu and Tiger junior Alex Bleich.
Finally, MUHS mentor Reeves Livesay earned recognition as the Lake Division Coach of the Year.
