STARKSBORO — A Hinesburg man will answer to charges of driving under the influence of drugs in connection with a collision between his truck and an ATV on Route 116 in Starksboro that resulted in the deaths of two people Friday night. Vermont State Police said 20-year-old Bayly LaRock was driving a 2016 Chevrolet truck north on Route 116 at around 10:18 p.m. when he collided with an ATV that had just pulled onto the road from Freedom Acres. SALISBURY — Members of the Salisbury selectboard were very pleased last month when the town landfill was finally capped after a multi-year effort. But now they are frustrated that the town’s expensive project is being torn to pieces. BRANDON — A group of all-terrain vehicle enthusiasts is working to create a better trail system in Brandon and legitimize ATV riding in the area. The goal is to engage private landowners and the town and use land and small sections of public road to form an ATV trail system in and around Brandon.
