Town meeting results: New Haven

NEW HAVEN — On Town Meeting Day, 706 ballots were counted in New Haven and several incumbents maintained their seats.
Incumbent Taborri Bruhl defeated John Hamel for a three-year term on the selectboard, 367–286.
Incumbent John Roleau defeated Bruce Many for a two-year term on the selectboard, 401–231.
The following officers were also elected on Town Meeting Day:
•  Treasurer: Danielle Cummings.
•  Delinquent Tax Collector: Sylvieasue Ford.
•  Lister: Jay Best.
•  Moderator: Pam Marsh.
•  Library Trustees: Katherine Cahill and Michaela Granstrom.
On the spending front, New Haven voters on Town Meeting Day approved $1,092,794 in general fund spending, $1,664,469 in road fund spending and $26,1990.25 in voted appropriations. Voters also authorized spending up to $30,000 from the Reserve Facilities Fund, to fund Town Hall repairs.
The school district budget and an additional article passed easily. New Haven voters, along with voters from the four other Mount Abraham Unified School District towns, approved a $31,399,182 budget for the coming school year, 2,391–1,611, with all ballots commingled.
They also approved the creation of a Capital Reserve Fund, to be initially funded with $610,118 of the district’s audited fund balance existing on June 30, 2018.
In New Haven 510 ballots were cast in the Democratic Presidential Primary and 196 in the Republican Presidential Primary, with the following results:
Bernie Sanders topped the Democratic field with 257 votes. He was followed by Joe Biden, 122 votes; Elizabeth Warren, 55; Mike Bloomberg, 50; Pete Buttigieg, 12; Amy Klobuchar, 6; and Tulsi Gabbard and Andrew Yang, 3 votes each.
For the Republicans, Donald Trump came out on top with 178 votes with Bill Weld earning 11 tallies.
