Vergennes Champs take third in state meet

Vergennes Champs swimmers combined to win 27 individual titles and claim third place as a team in Division I of the Vermont State Swim Association’s championship meet, held on this past Saturday and Sunday in the Upper Valley Aquatic Center in Hartford.

Local swimmers fare well in league meet

Vergennes Champs swimmers combined to win 20 races and claim third place in Champlain Valley Swim League’s championship meet, hosted on this past Friday and Saturday in the Winooski municipal pool.

Champs hold their own against BTC

Despite the fact that the Vergennes Swim Team had less than half the number of swimmers as host Burlington Tennis Club in a July 3 meet, the Champs made a decent showing in the Burlington pool and fell to the Barracudas by only 288 to 211.
