HANOVER, N.H. – Addison County players and coaching helped the Vermont Twin-State senior all-star soccer teams sweep their New Hampshire counterparts in games played at Hanover High School on Saturday. The Vermont girls scored twice in the second half in a 3-2 win over New Hampshire, and the Vermont boys outscored New Hampshire, 5-1, in the nightcap. HANOVER, N.H. — Despite the efforts of 10 local senior high school lacrosse athletes selected for the matches, New Hampshire senior lacrosse all-stars swept their Vermont counterparts in Saturday’s Byrne Cup Twin State All-Star Lacrosse Games. The New Hampshire boys prevailed, 15-10, and the Granite State girls won, 19-5. A major reason the boys’ game was closer was the work of Middlebury Union goalie Jack Rizzo, who made 28 saves for Vermont and was awarded a game ball by Coach Ryan Fitzpatrick of Colchester.
